Faustino Caigoy is an is an artist, muralist, and poet. He studied at the Otis Art Institute and the Chouinard Art Institute. He was the Honoree of the 20th annual Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture. His exhibits include the 4th Annual Pilipino Artists Network Art Walk in conjunction with the Smithsonian Institution's Commemoration of 100 Years of Filipino American Migration in Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles,;and the Brockman Gallery Productions, and as part of the Golden Mountain presentation at Long Beach State. Caigoy was commissioned by the City of Los Angeles to create wall murals. His book of poetry and illustrations Bitter Sweet Chocilate Meat was published by Inner City Press. He is the illustrator for Jeanne Joe’s books Ying-Ying: Pieces of a Childhood and Ying-Ying 2: Jasmine By the Bay. (Photograph by Celina Taganas Duffy)
