Chinese New Year is on Tuesday, February 5th this year. Households are already prepping for it. Cleaning the house, buying ingredients for the meals, putting money into red envelopes for the youngsters, and arranging to go to special events. At least one of those events will include Lion Dancers. Have you ever wondered how the incredible moves are executed under the lion costume?
In my book "Ying-Ying 4: Jasmine Returns to the Bay", Chapter 8 “Chinese New Year”, I describe the customs and celebrations, including the Lion Dancers and the lion dance. Check out these dancers who perform without their costumes, revealing the secrets of their moves.
